What is the WHOBEE World Tour?
The World Tour is a unique WHOBEE feature that schedules regional matchmaking windows throughout the week. Instead of being matched with a completely random person from anywhere on Earth, during a World Tour window, you're connected specifically with users from a targeted world region.
Think of it as having a cultural travel experience from your couch.
The Weekly Schedule
WHOBEE rotates through 5 major regions across the working week:
- •Monday: Asia East (Japan, Korea, China, Southeast Asia) — peak evening hours JST
- •Tuesday: Asia West (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) — peak evening IST
- •Wednesday: Europe & Africa — peak prime time CET
- •Thursday: South America (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia) — peak evening BRT
- •Friday: North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) — peak evening EST
- •Weekend: Global Free-for-All — anyone, anywhere
Why Did We Build This?
Two reasons:
1. Cultural curiosity. There's something special about knowing you're specifically talking to someone from Japan on a Monday evening, or from Brazil on Thursday. It adds context and curiosity to conversations that pure randomness can't provide.
2. Better matching quality. During a regional window, users from that region are more actively online. This improves match speed and connection quality within that time slot.
How to Know When a Window is Active
The World Tour countdown timer on the WHOBEE homepage tells you:
- •Which region is currently live
- •How long until the current window closes
- •Which region comes next and when
The lobby page also shows the live status, so you always know what's coming.
Are Regular Matches Still Available?
Yes. The World Tour windows coexist with standard global matching. If you prefer pure randomness, you can always ignore the schedule and connect as usual.
Tips for Your World Tour Experience
- •Learn a few phrases in the region's language before connecting — it goes a long way
- •Ask about local life — what's the food like? What's happening in the news? What music is popular?
- •Be patient — not everyone will be comfortable in English; use translation if needed
- •Respect cultural differences — what's casual in one culture may be more formal in another
Upcoming: Themed World Tour Events
